Hui Wu received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and M.Sc. degree in microelectronics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 1996 and 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, in June 2003, respectively. He was a co-op researcher at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center during the summer of 2001. In 2002-2003, he was with Axiom Microdevices, Orange, CA, developing fully-integrated CMOS power amplifiers for wireless communications.
In 2003, he joined the faculty of the University of Rochester, where he is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and director of Laboratory for Advanced Integrated Circuits and Systems. His current research interests are in wideband RF/microwave integrated circuits, ultrafast electronics, extremely low-power RF and digital circuits, electronic-photonic integrated circuits (EPICs), and high speed interconnect technologies. Dr. Wu has authored and co-authored over forty technical papers in major journals and conferences, and holds several US patents or patent applications. He was the recipient of the Motorola Scholarship, Guanghua Fellowship, and IBM Research Fellowship in 1995, 1997, and 2001, respectively.
Jianyun Hu received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and M.S. (with honors) degree in Microelectronics from Fudan University, China, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. His current research interests are wideband integrated circuits and impulse-radio UWB transceivers. He received Excellent Student Scholarships in 2000-2005, and Excellent Graduate Thesis award at Fudan University in 2006.
Shang Wang received her B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Nanjing University, China, in 2006, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Rochester in 2007.. Her current research interests are wideband integrated circuits and microwave photonics. She was the recipient of Samsung Scholarship at Nanjing University in 2003-2004.
Berkehan Ciftcioglu received his B.Sc. degree in microelectronics engineering from Sabanci University, Turkey in 2005. His current research interests are high-speed electronics and microwave photonics. He worked at Intel Photonic Technology Lab in 2008. He was the recipient of Merit Scholarship at Sabanci University in 2001-2004, Frank J. Horton Research Fellowship at University of Rochester in 2007 to 2012, and 2012 Best PhD Dissertation Award of University of Rochester.
Lin Zhang received his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 2004. His Ph.D. research focused on highly-efficient RF and high-speed integrated circuits. He received Excellent Student Scholarships in 2001-2003, and Undergraduate Thesis Award in 2004 at Tsinghua University. He was the recipient of Frank J. Horton Research Fellowship at University of Rochester from 2006-2007.
Yunliang Zhu received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Nanjing University, China, in 2003, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, in 2004. His Ph.D. research focused on wideband RF/microwave integrated circuits and on-chip microwave passive devices. He was the recipient of the First Robert Mundell Scholarship at Nanjing University and Frank J. Horton Research Fellowship at University of Rochester from 2005-2008. He was the Best Student Paper winner at 2008 Topical Meeting on Silicon Monolithic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems (SiRF).
